BACKtoGOLF Frequently Asked Questions
Is the program a franchise purchase, or can anyone that attends the seminar use your name and set up a program?
The program is not a franchise, anyone who attends the program cannot use the name for their program as it is copyrighted and trademarked. What we will be offering is a BACKtoGOLF golf performance and fitness certification. The person who has taken the BACKtoGOLF seminar can then take a written and golf swing analysis test and become certified. This will include the use of the name and a DVD of the lecture part of the course. This cost will be $500.
Do you have a pro forma to use as a planning tool for setting up a golf program?
I have a business plan and short pro forma that is included in the Seminar materials, including " Talking points for Golf Pros", marketing and communication sections.
Do you use any dynamic balance system or video analysis in your Six Step Evaluation process?
I do not use the DBS for evaluation, I dont need it. It is a great tool, however, I can accomplish every thing I need with video and a monitor. I tape all the golfers and play back in slow motion and analyze and talk about the swing movement.
Everything you need to set up a successful program is in the seminar and the golfer who you will see, no flash, no fluff, just straight biomechanics, understanding how the swing should work or doesnt, and what to do about it. Very straight forward, without a lot of technology of swing analysis. Practicality without over simplifying a complex series of movements.
Does BACKtoGOLF provide any training in marketing, and marketing support (i.e. brochures, press releases, commercials, etc.)?
Does BACKtoGOLF provide any training in marketing, and marketing support (i.e. brochures, press releases, commercials, etc.)?
There are some marketing materials available, they will be available in the certification packet. As far as brochure templates, press releases, they will be included. Commercials, no.
What are the additional costs for training items/equipment, beyond the seminar that are needed in order to provide a successful program?
There is an additional cost for some of the specialized training devices I use, such as a net, hitting mat, SwingFan, and a few other items that will be listed on the website. Cost is less than $1,000, unless you are looking for computer software for swing analysis or a Dynamic Balance System.
Do I need to be a golfer to attend the seminar or get benefit from implementing this type of program in my practice or clinic?
Many ask if knowledge or even regular participation in golf is necessary to implement the BACKtoGOLF program or attend the seminars. The answer to this is NO! For additional resources in preparing for the course, please see our Resources section discussing the Basics of Golf. |
